V.K. Ashok

Born in 1964 in Andhra Pradesh, V.K. Ashok has worked with the Eenadu group of newspapers. His paintings feature romantic fantasy and are filled with messages in poetic metaphors that bind man and woman. In some of his triptychs, the frames are like window shutters, further emphasizing the concept of windows as barriers to these relationships. The lotus holds particular interest to him as messengers, conveyors, and blooms of love. He is credited with many group and solo exhibitions in India and abroad.
