Stalin P.J.

Stalin P.J. was born on April 4^th, 1974 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He received formal art education in Hyderabad. Stalin's work is based on design fundamentals, form, colour, and composition, and he believes that the simplest forms can evoke complex emotions. He begins his work spontaneously, and it becomes more detailed as the end product starts to reveal itself. The process involves layering as he does not sketch any preliminary designs. Stalin has participated in several art camps and group shows with well-known contemporary artists such as T. Vaikuntam, K. Laxma Goud, Jatin Das, Shamshad Hussain, Suhas Roy, Adimoolam, Akbar Padamsee, Yusuf Arakkal, and Sunil Das. He has received several awards, including ones from the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi for the years 2002 and 2003; and AIFACS, New Delhi, in 2002.
