Sooryamurthy

Sooryamurthy is an artist with a long list of achievements. He started with a Certificate in Drawing in 1960, followed by a Graduation degree from the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Chennai where he bagged the first rank. He then became a State Lalit Kala Akademi Scholar from 1963 to 1965, a National Scholar at M.S. University, Baroda from 1965 to 1968, and received a Senior Fellowship from the Government of India from 1989 to 1991, as well as a Srish Daya Fellowship in Mumbai from 1991 to 1992. He has won many awards and has been mentioned in numerous art books. Sooryamurthy has participated in several exhibitions in India, Romania, Bulgaria, France, and Belgium. He has also participated in several art camps, and his works are in the collections of many individuals, corporations, and government offices.
