Sidharth

Sidharth, a renowned Indian painter, and sculptor was born in 1956 in Ludhiana, Punjab. He started painting signboards while still attending school. Later, he apprenticed with Tara Mistry and learned the art of creating murals and friezes. Sidharth also learned the Thangka painting technique from Tibetan monks in McLeodganj and spent some time with artist Sobha Singh at his studio in Andretta, Himachal Pradesh. After completing a five-year Diploma in Painting from the College of Art in Chandigarh, Sidharth went to Sweden before settling in New Delhi, where he now owns a studio. He has participated in over 135 group shows in the U.K., Sweden, the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, and India.
