Partho Bhattacharjee

Born in West Bengal, Partho Bhattacharjee graduated from the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, with a degree in Fine Arts. In his paintings, he beautifully portrays Lord Krishna as a flautist who casts a spell on his listeners with his enchanting music. Partho uses materials such as stone, terracotta, and fabric, which endow his figures with different textures and redefine the body with seams and fissures that continue onto the outer frame. His impressive solo and group shows have earned him a spot in prestigious collections in India and abroad.
