Murukeson
He obtained his First class Post Diploma degree in Fine Arts from the Government
College of Arts and Crafts, Chennai. He was a first rank holder. Murukeson has won a number of
prizes including those from the All India Khadi Industrial Exhibition, Ceramic Design cum
Modelling Competition, All India Exhibition at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad, Bangalore and
the Birla Academy of Art and ture Annual Exhibition, Calcutta. Besides his one-man shows, he
has participated in several important exhibitions such as the National Exhibition, AIFACS and
Tamil Nadu and Kerala State Lalit Kala Akademi Exhibitions and Kala Melas. He has been
involved in the artists camps organised by the Regional Centre of the Lalit Kala Akademi, the
State Lalit Kala Akademi and the South Zone Cultural Centre. The Government Museum,
Chennai, Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre and the State Akadmi have his works in their
collections as also do several corporate and private collections.
