K. M. Adimoolam

Born in 1938 in Tamil Nadu, K.M. Adimoolam graduated from the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Chennai. He has held several solo and group shows in India and abroad, including the 6th Triennale in New Delhi in 1986, the 19th Sao Paulo Biennale Brazil in 1987, and Rimbaud 91 at The Alliance Française de Madras at Chennai and France in 1991. His accolades include many state awards in Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, as well as the National Award in New Delhi. Adimoolam has also attended several artist workshops and has executed murals commissioned by corporate houses and hotels. He served as a Jury Member for the National Exhibition of Art in 1986, as a Commissioner for the Indian section in the Third Ankara Biennale, Turkey in 1990, as a Convener for the “Drawing India – 91 Exhibition” by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi in 1991, and as a Jury Member for Bombay Art Society's annual All India Art Exhibition in 1992. Additionally, he served as a one-person jury for the National Exhibition of Art in New Delhi in 1993.
